Today Ems was desperate to go to Magic Kingdom to get on some bigger rides. So we got down there pretty early around 9:00, and to our surprise having parked the car you needed to get a boat across the water to the Magic Kingdom.
Once over the water it was straight through the turnstiles into Main Street, from this point onwards it could have been Disney Paris, LA or any other of the Disney locations. But boy today was cold…really cold…I came out with just a TShirt and man I was cold…the wind was westerly and so off the Atlantic and so really kept things cool, the good news was the sun was out…and we had fun whilst standing in line, ( UK translation Queuing, we are all starting to use American English whilst we are here…I guess its kind of viral ) trying to find the direct sun to warm us up.
Joseph has been watching Pirates of the Caribbean in the house so was keen to check that ride out, so we headed straight for Adventure land. After that thunder mountain was the big ride for Ems…but unfortunately failed to register on the thrills index…My old time favourite the haunted house was next, and it was by now that we realised that there were loads of people in the park…perhaps too many.
A quick step in tomorrow land so Joseph could do the cars…and Ems was off to Space mountain but unfortunately the queue was 2 hours…too much even for us patient Brits. So we decided to come back another day and get a fast pass….Luckily for us Jules ceased the opportunity to get a fast pass for Buzz light year ride, something Joseph was really keen to do again..Due to the volume of people in the park fast passes were running out really quick.
A couple of rides different from what we have experienced in other Magic Kingdoms, were Monster Laughter show and the Carousel of progress. Monster laughter show I thought was really cool they had animated characters interacting with the audience trying to make us laugh and picking on members of the audience..
By about 18:00 we had enough of the volume of people and so headed to Down town Disney for some dinner and a stroll around the shops.
