Change of gear today…I think we were all tired from spending two days in the park, that we decided to head off to a water park today for a bit of relaxation. There is a fair few water parks in the area, but we decided to go for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. This park has a man made beech and lagoon, which features a fantastic wave machine which produces 6ft high waves. It also has various water based rides, including flumes and raft rides.
On arrival we headed off to the shark tank, were you can swim with sharks, rays and other fish in a sea water tank. Equipped with snorkels, and underwater camera off we set. The kids got a bit spooked at the start with how close the fish came up to them, but soon relaxed and had a few goes… Jules managed to take some stunning pictures with her underwater Olympus camera.
Next to the swim with the fish pool was a Pearl Factory shop were you could pick an oyster for $16, and they would open it for you to reveal a pearl. This is something Jules and Ems couldn’t resist, and not to be left out nor could little man. The girls both had theirs mounted in some jewellery.
After that there was no holding Ems back from riding the big 6ft waves, and boy does it move….As you would expect from Ems she positioned herself to get maximum impact of the wave. Herself and Joseph probably spent most of the day riding the big waves.
We finished off the day with a white water raft…This was our first water park, and I must say I really enjoyed the slower pace compared to the traditional parks..
Tomorrow off to Kennedy Space centre…
